North Glamper Furano masterfully blends the rugged allure of the great outdoors with the luxuries of glamping. Whether you’re seeking serene relaxation, a thrilling outdoor adventure, or a well-deserved break from the hustle of daily life, North Glamper Furano guarantees an unforgettable getaway.

The Hub of Hospitality: The Center House

At the heart of the campsite (or is that glampsite?) is the Center House, a sanctuary for all things essential. Within its walls, you’ll find a handy shop, shower rooms, and restrooms. The site manager is usually on hand to help.

Timing is Everything: Check-out and Wi-Fi

Please plan your exit by 10:00 AM to keep the operation running smoothly. Wi-Fi is graciously provided, though it may play hide-and-seek in more remote corners, particularly inside tents.

Practicalities: Restrooms, Showers, and Shared Spaces

You won’t have to rough it completely—there are unisex and women’s-only restrooms on-site, and a shared kitchen to whip up some campfire creations. Don’t forget to mind your manners (and the environment!) by separating trash into the conveniently lidded cans.

Speaking of conveniences, the showers come free of charge, and they’ve thoughtfully stocked them with shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. Need a towel? Rent one for a modest 300 yen.

Stocking Up: The On-Site Store

While you’re here, the on-site store offers an assortment of glamping necessities like firewood, charcoal, snacks, soft drinks, and even original stickers—because what’s a glamping trip without a quirky souvenir? If you find yourself in need of more substantial supplies, a trusty 7-Eleven lies a mere 4 kilometers away.

Gourmet Under the Stars: Dining Options

Now, let’s talk about food—because what’s a glamping trip without some gourmet flair?

For those who wisely opted for dinner reservations, prepare for a treat. A barbecue set will be delivered straight to your tent between 5:00 PM and 8:30 PM. You’ll be grilling your meal on a Weber BBQ grill, which—fun fact—is a bit of a legend in the United States. Just make sure you cook everything thoroughly, and tuck away any leftovers in the containers provided.

Not a night owl? No problem. Breakfast awaits you at the Center House from 7:30 to 8:30 AM. Using a gas stove and hot sandwich maker, you can craft the breakfast sandwich of your dreams with your favorite ingredients.

Fireside Fun: The Bonfire Experience

What’s camping without a crackling bonfire? You can rent a bonfire set, complete with limitless firewood, for a flat 2,000 yen. But keep an eye on the sky—this activity is at the mercy of the weather.

Tools of the Trade: Additional Rentals

Should you find yourself in need of specialized gear, fear not! Dutch ovens, knives, skillets, air mattresses, and even wine glasses are available upon request. Don’t hesitate to consult the staff if you need something specific.

The Unwritten Rules: Guest Etiquette

To preserve the tranquility of the great outdoors (and keep the peace with fellow glampers), there are a few courtesies to observe:

  • Loud music or instruments are a no-go after 9:00 PM.
  • Smoking is forbidden inside the tents and facilities, though portable ashtrays are available if you need one.
  • Keep the critters out by opening and closing your tent doors quickly.
  • Dispose of all trash in the designated bins.

And since Furano is frequented by brown bears and foxes, kindly refrain from leaving any food waste outside your tent.

Lodging Options: Where You’ll Sleep

Dome Tent: The Pinnacle of Glamping

The 40m² F Dome tent, courtesy of Polish brand F.domes, is where luxury meets the wild. Here, you’ll enjoy two semi-double beds, one single bed, and a host of amenities, including:

  • Air conditioning, Bluetooth speakers, a fridge, kettle, LED lantern, and a charcoal BBQ grill
  • A cozy electric kotatsu from October to April.

Cotton Tent: Scandinavian Simplicity

The Nordisk Asgard Cotton Tent brings a touch of Scandinavian design to your outdoor adventure, featuring two semi-double beds, garden furniture, and a charcoal BBQ grill. Colder months call for the cozy comforts of electric blankets, a fan heater, and a kotatsu.

Dog Tent: Canine Comfort

For those unwilling to leave Fido behind, the dog-friendly tent includes a playpen, carrier, and foot-washing supplies—everything your furry companion needs for a comfortable stay.

Sweat It Out: The Tent Sauna

Feel like turning up the heat? The tent sauna accommodates up to four guests and is available from 11:00 AM to 8:30 PM for 4,400 yen per person. Just be sure to book in advance.

Dining Delights: Local Specialties

Hungry for a taste of Hokkaido? Consider reserving a special meal like the Kamifurano Pork Genghis Khan for 2,500 yen per person, or indulge in the Kamifurano Specialty Pork Sagari Set Meal for 1,500 yen per person. Advance reservations are highly recommended.

What the Guests Say

North Glamper Furano has earned high praise for its outstanding service, delicious meals, and peaceful atmosphere. Even on rainy nights, guests have raved about the dome tents’ cozy, weatherproof interiors. The spacious tents also serve as quiet workspaces for those who need to stay connected—though I’d recommend powering down your devices and soaking in the stars, good food, and great company. After all, isn’t that what glamping is truly about?
